Congratulations to three of our Assistant Clinical Research Practitioners within the Cardiovascular theme, Jane Plume, Vanessa Hollings and George Hudson, who are all working towards their NIHR CRP accreditation and been successful in their application for Band 5 Clinical Research Practitioner posts.
CRPs are an essential part of research delivery teams across Leicester’s Hospitals and the NIHR Leicester BRC.
CRPs are adaptable team members who specialise in consent, data collection, and other study protocol activities. They often manage projects themselves, liaising with research investigators, research delivery teams and patients.
Vanessa, Jane and George, all have very different journeys within UHL to get to their current roles. But all agree on how fantastic it feels to be able to develop professionally through this accreditation route, which has enabled them to become NHS Band 5.
Vanessa said: “I’m looking forward to seeing where this new journey takes us and how the new role will develop to benefit myself and the team.”
