The NIHR Leicester BRC is preparing to host the NIHR Oncology Translational Research Collaboration (O-TRC)’s ctDNA Workshop on 2nd October 2024, bringing together global oncology leaders to accelerate translation of research in circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) into the clinic.
Being held at Charnwood Campus, Loughborough, this event will foster collaborative research with industry, academia, and the NHS.
The day, led by the University of Leicester’s Professor of Translational Cancer Genetics, and NIHR Leicester BRC Cancer theme lead Jacqui Shaw, will feature influential speakers including Professor of Experimental Cancer Medicine at the University of Oxford, Mark Middleton, Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Manchester, Natalie Cook and Professor Nitzan Rosenfeld, Director of the Barts Cancer Institute.
Talks will address cutting-edge applications of ctDNA in early cancer detection and treatment, key discussions will explore the potential of cfDNA in patient care, while the workshop outputs aim to guide future advancements through a white paper and fostering new collaborations.
