This is a support group for anyone affected by a lung condition including carers, friends and family.
Date: 4th Wednesday of every month
Time: 2pm-4pm
Location: Tesco-Beaumont Leys community space (Aisle 24- Beer and wine) Beaumont leys shopping centre.
Become a Public Research Champion
We are inviting members of the public to join our Public Research Champions network at NIHR Leicester BRC.
Champions help shape health research by sharing their views and experiences, raising awareness of new treatments and prevention approaches, and acting as a link between local communities and researchers.
Your involvement will help ensure that research reflects the priorities and needs of the people it is designed to benefit.
What’s involved?
- Free training and support
- Four flexible meetings a year
- Opportunities to represent your community in research discussions
- A BRC-branded top to wear at community events
Inclusion criteria
- Open to people of all ages and backgrounds
- No prior experience of research needed

Women’s Public Involvement Group
We believe that health research is something that everyone should have the opportunity to be part of.
To help with this we are setting up a women’s public involvement group. Through this group, the women of Leicester can give us their thoughts on women’s health and research.
