In my previous role as the Cardiovascular Research Manager I provided clinical research management and governance oversight to the NIHR Leicester BRC’s Cardiovascular theme – developing and leading the Project Support Team for 5 years.
I worked with our academics on every stage of their research from grant application to delivery and dissemination. A particular highlight was supporting the recent successful BHF Centre for Research Excellence application.
Prior to that I worked in clinical trial management at University of Leicester, The Institute of Cancer Research and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
I love working in clinical research and I am excited to help lead the operational development of the NIHR Leicester BRC, and ensure we meet and exceed our strategic objectives. I am looking forward to supporting a wider range of researchers across our six themes, and helping to grow our reputation for world-class research and high-quality care here in Leicester.
Some interesting facts about me – I was born in the States and lived across 3 continents before I was 16. I have a fear of fish but a love of true crime.
