Thank you to the congregation of Green Pastures Church Health Sunday for welcoming researchers, including Dr Ruw Abeyratne (Director for Health Equality and Inclusion at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, Dr Yemi Akala & our Director of Inclusion, Dr Natalie Darko, to talk about cancer research and our efforts to ensure people from all ethnicities are represented in research.
The NIHR Leicester BRC’s Public Involvement & Engagement Manager, Ayo Ogunbuyide, said: “It was incredible to be part of Green Pasture’s Sunday Health event this week which we know is a really important service for many people in Leicester.
“Being given the opportunity to talk to so many people about their health & about research, and how they can get involved was an incredible opportunity, so thank you to the congregation for welcoming us.”
